In this video I’m talking about how to use “wheel decide” the decision wheel to group your students or to decide on an activity in the classroom.
It only takes 2-3 minutes to choose your students or activities with this wheel. And as everything is happening by chance, kids never get bored and wait till the end of the decision process.
Normally when you group kids with any other activity or just by choosing a name from the class book, kids would want to change their group or activity. But when I started to use this wheel, I realized that kids accept what appears on the wheel and they never say things like “I don’t want to be in this group” or “I don’t want to do this activity” and I think the main reason for this is that kids know that it happens by chance.
This is a good activity for classroom management, as you can also choose kids with it for any activity; you can choose the assistant of the day or you can choose the student for the next activity… Endless options 🙂
